A big new iOS 15 updates for iPhones and strong early sales of iPhone 13 in China

Apple just released its big new iOS 15 update for iPhones — here’s what’s new. Starting from FaceTime to make calls to Windows and Android users, AI that can better identify items in photos, and Focus, which better controls limits on notifications.

 

According to a South China Morning Post report, more than 2 million pre-orders have been placed for the iPhone 13 through Apple’s official store on JD.com.

Data security law: China orders state firms to migrate to government cloud services 

China’s cloud computing market is dominated by private players like Alibaba and Tencent. Currently, some state-owned entities (such as China National Petroleum Corporation) are using private cloud storage from providers like Alibaba. As legislation comes into effect, a notice will come with penalties of up to 10 million yuan for violations.  More at SCMP
