Hi, I’m Ervis Micukaj.
Born in Albania, raised in Italy, and now building something meaningful in Shanghai.

With a background in business from the University of Trento, I’ve worked across various tech sectors—from EdTech and digital advertising to IT services. My journey eventually brought me to China, where I founded JET IT Services, an IT company helping foreign businesses navigate the complexities of operating in China.

What inspired me to start JET IT?
It was a mix of timing, the right people, and the energy of Shanghai itself. There’s something unique about this city—it pushes you to move fast, think big, and constantly evolve. I was lucky to be surrounded by people who believed in me even before I did. Their encouragement eventually led me to take the leap.

Starting a business here wasn’t just a professional decision—it was a personal challenge. Shanghai forces you to be resilient and clear-minded. It’s a tough market, but that’s exactly what makes it exciting.

One core value I hold above all?
Transparency.
In IT, transparency is rare—and that’s exactly why it matters. Too often, clients are left in the dark, not knowing what’s happening behind the scenes. At JET IT, we aim to change that. Through IT audits and open communication, we give our clients full visibility into their systems, risks, and opportunities. We’ve even helped uncover serious issues in some cases—things that were being actively hidden. That’s the kind of impact I’m proud of.

My favorite part of the job?
Watching the team grow.
There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone step up, solve complex problems, and own their role. Our big goal this year?
To solidify JET IT Services as the go-to IT partner for foreign SMEs in China. We’re:

• Enhancing bilingual support (English & Chinese)

• Streamlining internal processes for better efficiency

• Publishing valuable content to educate and empower

• Offering proactive IT audits to bring clarity and control
